It's the 6th century AD, The period of the dark ages. In both Britain and
Brittany, Christianity and Celtic traditions vie with each other to fill
the vacuum left in the collapse of the Roman empire. It is also the era
of King Arthur and his order of the Round Table, who will leave their
mark on history for many centuries to come.

When Bradwen has just been crowned King of the Atrebates he discovers that

there is a curse on his lineage. The Devil offers him a pact: the curse
will be lifted if he renounces his vows of chivalry. Beign a man of pure
heart he refuses. Instead, on Merlin's advice, he goes in pursuit of the
White Hart in order to lift the curse and save britain from the most
terrible of perils.
Thus begins Bradwen's great quest, which will take him to Avelon, the
heart of the fairy world... 20 years pass before he returns. And when he
does Gawain is dead. Lancelot has abducted Guinevere. The county is beign
ravaged by all-out civil war and, as the reign of Arthur draws to its
close, the shadow of the dragon casts itself over Albion...
