Cell phones, cameras, cars, and other high-tech products are getting a makeover. The
awkward, box-like products of the past have long since been replaced by smaller, slicker
versions.
手機、相機、車子以及其他高科技產都在改換新裝。以前笨拙、方正模樣的產品早已被輕巧、光滑的
機型所取代。
As more women buy gadgets, companies seek ways to make their products more appealing to
women. In the past, this often meant coloring products pink. Now, however, designers are
realizing that what most women really want is useful technology that is also stylish. They
want form as well as function.
隨著越來越多女性購買科技性產品，企業也想盡辦法讓產品更受女性青睞。過去，這通常意味著推出
粉紅色商品。然而，現在設計師瞭解大部分女性真正想要的是實用、有型的科技產品。她們講求外型
與功能兼具。
This, of course, requires being in touch with what women want. When employees at Canon were
designing a new camera geared for women, they actually went through women’s purses to find
out what would work best. The result was the IXUS, a line of small digital cameras with
smooth corners that became top sellers.
當然，這需要對女性的需求暸若指掌。佳能公司的員工在設計專為女性所推出的新款相機時，他們真的
